ADVANCING WILDERNESS CARE
WEMSI UK’s mission is to improve wilderness pre-hospital care through the delivery of exceptional training courses to practitioners from diverse operational and clinical backgrounds.
WEMSI UK is a not for profit, volunteer organisation dedicated to advancing standards in wilderness medical care. Drawing on real-world experience across search and rescue, expedition medicine, humanitarian, military and remote healthcare, its practitioner-led faculty deliver training to wilderness care givers at all levels, operating across all environments from desert to ice, mountain to jungle, and from caves to oceans.

WEMSI-INTERNATIONAL UK
Driven by practical experience and a shared commitment to excellence in remote medicine.
We look for new ways to improve pre-hospital care in remote and challenging environments and get these skills into the hands of wilderness practitioners.
We are transparent and share practices to support the evolution of pre-hospital care in the Wilderness.
We adapt training to the needs of the students and are always developing a high calibre faculty of skilled practitioners.
Our courses are known for expert, approachable instructors, immersive hands-on learning, and high-fidelity patient simulations with trained patients. We focus on practical, adaptable care -teaching principles over rigid protocols — because in the wilderness, no two situations are ever the same.
